Is it true that there is no entertainment (conk shell races, hula hoops etc) for the kids at Ohana anymore?

    Aloha Cousin!

Without a doubt, 'Ohana is one of my absolute favorite restaurants in all of Walt Disney World. While the food is incredible, I think the overall vibe and atmosphere really makes it a must-do experience.

Great question about the nightly entertainment! I was just there for dinner a few months ago and they had all of the usual family activities (i.e. coconut races, hula dancing, parades for the "keiki", etc.).

I haven't heard about any recent changes to the entertainment schedules, so the only thing I can think of is that maybe the info you found was from someone who was there when they had to postpone some of the activities.

(At least I hope that was the case!)

I do know that they've tweaked the menu slightly over the past year or so, mainly with respect to some of the first-course dishes (i.e. the vegetables and the salad). Although, I'm relieved to report that the bread pudding dessert offering hasn't been fiddled with at all and still ultra-delicious!

    [Applause!]

Here's a little tip from your buddy Derek:

While the awesome cocktails from the neighboring Tambu Lounge are often the adult beverage of choice when it comes to washing down a dinner at 'Ohana, I'm actually going to throw out a plug for two of their unique beer offerings. If you like lighter-style beers, check out the Kona Longboard Lager. If you prefer medium or amber beers, check out the Kona Fire Rock Pale Ale.

There's something about island beers that make grilled foods taste even better!

I hope that helps and I hope you have a reservation for 'Ohana on the books for sometime in the near future! Please feel free to write back if you should have any additional questions and I'll be happy to help in any way that I can.

    Best regards,
    Derek
