Hey Betsy! Welcome to planDisney! I'm so excited that you're planning a magical
Walt Disney World Resort trip with your family and friends. Thanks for reaching out with your question and ensuring everyone has a fantastic time. Can we be friends, too? I'd love that!
I'm thrilled to let you know that there are almost no weight restrictions at water parks like
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon and
Disney's Blizzard Beach and Theme Parks. However,
the gondolas at the Chairlift at Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park have a weight limit of 375 pounds in total and fit up to two Guests at a time, so your friend can still ride it by himself. The Chairlift is an effortless way to access attractions like
Summit Plummet, Slush Gusher, and Teamboat Springs, and your entire party can take advantage of every single attraction there and have a fantastic day.
Although there are no weight limits on water or theme park attractions, some rides may be tighter than others. I highly recommend checking with a Cast Member before joining the line to ensure everyone will be as comfortable as possible. For some attractions, like
TRON Lightcycle / Run, a test seat is available at the queue entrance so you can try it before deciding.
I'm so glad you asked this question. I love that every ride is designed to be as accessible as possible for people of all ages and sizes, just as Walt Disney envisioned. It's all about keeping families together and having fun!
Betsy, I'm here to help. Please don't hesitate
to reach out if you have more questions. We're always ready and eager to assist with your July trip planning.
Cheers
Nilson
