Hi Kitzze,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so excited that you are heading out on the high seas for a Halloween-themed sailing with Captain Mickey this fall! My family absolutely loves
Halloween on the High Seas itineraries because of all the extra decorations and themed activities. My favorite onboard activity by far is Mickey’s Mousequerade party where you get to see your favorite character in THEIR Halloween costumes!
Palo, oh Palo…my husband and I always look forward to our date night at
Palo. Delicious food, exceptional service and chocolate souffle…you simply cannot top that! In fact, booking my Palo dinner is the FIRST onboard activity I book when my onboard booking window opens because a trip to the “Mickey Boat” wouldn’t be complete without Palo! From our experience, we are typically at Palo between an hour and a half and two hours, but rarely (if ever) longer than two hours. You can certainly speed that up if you have somewhere to be, but I can guarantee that the atmosphere and dining experience are well worth it and you won’t be eager to leave! If you are definitely wanting to not miss the nightly entertainment in the Walt Disney Theatre, I would recommend making your Palo reservation for earlier – or later – and attending the opposite show. If you book Palo for 6:00PM, you can make the 8 or 8:30PM show or if you prefer the early show at 6 or 6:15PM, you can book Palo for 7:30PM or later. Then you get to do both without an issue!
Wishing you the most magical and memorable adventure at sea, Kitzze!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
