Hello, I have a truck camper, fit in the bed of my truck, not a pull behind camper.Am I allowed or is it possible to camp in the parking lot the night before the race, when the park closes and run the race that morning. I am doing the 26.2 marathon

    Welcome to planDisney, Mark!

It seems that we have a lot in common, Mark, because not only do we both call the Peach State home, but like you, I also am a big fan of making every mile magic with runDisney!

Ten years ago I crossed the finish line of my very first Walt Disney World Marathon, and in my experience, there's nothing quite like the magic of a run down Main Street, U.S.A. as the crowd cheers you on. Of course, as you're aware, running through Magic Kingdom Park before it opens to Guests for the day means an extra-early wake-up call. Although spending the evening as close to the starting line as possible sounds like a great idea in order to avoid feeling a bit Sleepy or Grumpy on your big day, unfortunately, the parking lots of Walt Disney World Resort's theme parks are not available for overnight parking. While not as convenient as sleeping just steps from the security checkpoint, I've always had a positive experience staying at a Disney Resort hotel and utilizing the complimentary runDisney bus transportation to the EPCOT parking lot. You'll find that the pick-up location is clearly marked, and the sense of camaraderie among runners about to embark on an incredible feat together is so motivating!

If you're planning to head back to Walt Disney World Resort's theme parks after your 26.2 miles have taken you through all four earlier in the day, I encourage you to proudly wear your medal! The congratulations you'll receive from Cast Members and fellow Guests alike are sure to make your accomplishment feel even more special.

I hope this information was helpful, Mark, and that your training is going well! If any additional questions arise as you continue to plan, feel free to stop back by. I'm always happy to help!

    Thinking Happy Thoughts,
    Lizzie
