    When in 2021 is the Tron attraction expected to open? We are planning a trip for June 2021 so we're trying to determine Tron will be open by then. Thanks, Susan

    Hi, Susan!  Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

    It certainly is an exciting time at the Walt Disney World Resort!  There are so many new additions planned that will begin to be available to guests as we approach the 50th anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort in 2021.  You have chosen a wonderful time to plan a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth!

    One of the upcoming new attractions that I am most looking forward to is TRON Lightcycle / Run in Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom Park.  Currently, if you take a ride on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, you will have a great view of the construction site for TRON Lightcycle / Run.  Based on what I could see during my last visit, it looks like there has been quite a bit of progress on this highly anticipated new attraction.  Recently, a pair of Lightcycles arrived in Tomorrowland so that guests could have a little preview of what they will experience when the new attraction makes its debut.

    So far, we have been told that TRON Lightcyle / Run will be available in time for the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort in 2021, but we have not been given an exact date.  I would recommend following the Disney Parks Blog for the latest news on this attraction, as well as all of the other exciting developments at the Walt Disney World Resort.
