Trips are booked 11/21-11/27 and 12/25-12/31 both at the Caribbean Beach. I want to purchase Premiere passes for 2 parks during each trip. I've heard they are limited. What are my options if none are avail 7 days before our arrival?

Welcome to planDisney, Joyce! I'm so glad to be able to answer your question today. You've picked two of the most magical and most popular weeks of the year to visit Walt Disney World: Thanksgiving week and that magical stretch between Christmas and New Year's! With those dates in mind, it's definitely smart that you're already thinking about Lightning Lane Premier Pass availability.

It's true, Lightning Lane Premier Passes are limited in quantity each day, and they can sell out during high-demand times like the holiday weeks you've got planned. If I were a betting woman, I'd say there's a good chance they'll sell out on at least a few days of both of your trips, especially for those extra-popular parks like Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. That said, guests like you who are staying at Disney Resort Hotels can start booking Lightning Lane Premier Passes 7 days before check-in. That early window gives you a solid shot at grabbing what you want before day guests and off-site visitors can access them.

If, when your 7-day window opens, Premier Passes are already sold out for a particular day, you still have a few options. You can always fall back on Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass, which still let you reserve access to select attractions in advance. These have a greater availability and don't tend to sell out quite as quickly. And if you're really looking to maximize your park day with minimal waits, it might be worth giving Disney a call to ask about availability for Private VIP Tours. They're definitely a splurge, but also a super fun way to make the most of your time in the parks during those busy holiday weeks.

So while Premier Passes can be competitive during the holidays, you've got a great plan in place and a few backup options just in case!

    Have a magical day, Joyce!
