In 5 trips we have never been able to catch the parade of lighted boats on the lake near Magic Kingdom. Can you tell me more about it? Timing? Best place to watch? Any other tips. Thanks.

Hi, we saw this pageant a couple years ago, and had seen it almost every year.  We would head down to the beach at the Polynesian around 8:45 and grab a chair and a blanket, and sit and watch the lagoon.  The parade of barges would start around 9 back then, unless there were fireworks at Magic Kingdom then it was later.  We always would check with Guest Relations at the resort, to be sure.  The best places we've found were the Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Contemporary, Fort Wilderness, and Wilderness Lodge.  I hope you get the opportunity to see the pageant!!
