This is our 1st trip to WDW and will be visting June 7-14. I'm not worried about the heat (we live in TX), but are the crowds really bad during this time?

Lisa, as the June month advances the crowds will become larger.  When school is out across our nation the largest crowds will be found at Walt Disney World.  June will tend to be a moderate to crowded month and the earlier you go  the better it seems to be.  It is impossible to predict completely what the school schedule is in all states for every year.  I think you are doing well by going early in this month and with good planning that includes dining reservations you should have a good visit.
