this will be our 1st trip to WDW 4 of us, children 7 and 10, we are planning on october 2012 1st week is this an okay time to come there?

    HI Timothy,

October is a great time to visit; the Magic Kingdom is filled with autumnal decorations that feel so festive.  You can also enjoy Mickey's Not so Scary Halloween Party as well as Epcot's International Food and Wine Festival.  The heat isn't as intense, so you should be comfortable without melting!  The crowds aren't as big during the fall, so much so that you can often find special offers during this time of year such as room discounts or even free dining.

So without a doubt, a trip to Walt Disney World in October is something I'd do in a heartbeat!

Please let us know if we can help with more questions.  We've all been there planning the first trip and know how overwhelming that can be.
