Our trip to WDW starts in just 2 months. I suffer with neuropathy in my legs and feet, making it hard to walk a lot or stand for long periods. I know I can get a GAC , what I'd like to know is ..Do I need anything from my doctor to get one ?

Hi Esther, I would bring a doctors note just to be on the safe side and be prepared in case you are asked for one, but I don't think I have ever heard of them question a guest to show proof (that's not to say that it couldn't happen though). Another reason for a note from your doctor is that they will get a description of your medical condition that may be more clear to them from a doctor rather than the guest and this may help the cast member to assign you the GAC that is best for your condition. There are different GAC's that can be issued and they issue them based on the guests medical needs such as needing to be out of the sun and rather wait in a special area that is shaded or whether or not a wheelchair accessible line is needed, etc... This doctors note may help, but that is just my opinion and it is not necessarily a requirement. I hope you have a very magical trip to WDW! Best wishes, Brigitta
