Our 1st trip to WDW! Kids are 11 year old twins boy/girl. She is sorta over the princess thing, mom isnt. Planning on 1 day WDW, 1 day Animal Kingdom, 1 Day off site, and maybe addtional time in WDW and beach time. Any suggestions for Preteens?

    Hi Karry!

Congratulations on your upcoming first vacation to Walt Disney World Resort! You have a great plan in place, and no matter what you experience, you are giving your family some awesome memories. I have an 11 year old who has a list of attractions she wants to experience each visit and sadly we are slowly moving out of the princess phase. However, as long as she takes the photos, mommy is happy.

Here are a few suggestions that your Tweens might enjoy:
    1. The Pirates League at Magic Kingdom Park because it has something that both children will enjoy. You son might enjoy being made into a First Mate and including the different facial effects that he wants. Your daughter might enjoy the Empress Package because of the cool make up, lip gloss and nail polish that is included. My daughter had a great time and she loved the way she looked after the makeover.
    2. Disney Quest Indoor Interactive Theme Park is a great location to enjoy and experience 5 floors of different virtual interactive games.
Also, I would like to suggest experiencing the following attractions at Magic Kingdom Park and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park: Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain, DINOSAUR, and Kali River Rapids just to name a few.

Please let us know if you have additional questions, we would love to help!

    Have a magical "first" vacation!
