1st trip to WDW. Grandma will be taking DD7 to perfectly princess tea party. What are a couple of ideas for something special for DW to do with DS3 during that time? (I'll be playing golf with granddad). Thx.

Hi Patrick! Since everyone is going to be doing something special that day then just heading the pool is out of the question. I am assuming you don't want to be in a park for the activity either.

My first thought that was always a treat for my own grandson at that age was a trip to Fort Wilderness. It is likely a place off your radar yet there is a lot to do and fun things to see. You can hop on a boat from the Magic Kingdom, Contemporary, or Wilderness Lodge so it is easy to get to from that neck of the woods. Just the boat ride will be fun as you might see birds and lots of other boating activity that any three year old will enjoy. Once you arrive at the Fort Wilderness marina head down the path where you can visit the country store for unique gifts or the big playground right across the way. A three year old will likely feel like they have won the prize just to be able to play without being told to rush off somewhere. I suggest you book lunch so you can have a bite to eat at Trails End. He will love the big stuffed bear that greets the guests when they enter and some of the other stuffed heads on the wall. The food is good too! After lunch stop by the stables where all the Disney horses call home. Take time to give him a pony ride too. My grandson's favorite little guy is Nemo. When you are done just take the boat back for the return. This would be a unique special outing for him and a nice relaxing one for mom! Easy and comfortable equal magical!
