1st trip to WDW. 5yo girl and 7 yo boy. arrive MCO at 1:50. what would you recommend doing our first day/evening to make it fun/special withouth staying out too late (early morning planned 9/19). Thanks so much!!!

    Hi Eric,

Welcome to the Moms Panel!  My favorite thing to do on the day of arrival is head on over to Downtown Disney.  This marketplace is a lively place that boasts plenty of pixie-dusted shopping, dining and often times entertainment on their center stage.  There is no admission fee, so I find it the perfect way to get that initial dose of Disney without having to use a theme park ticket.

Typically we will then dine at either the Rainforest Cafe or T-Rex Cafe (both located at Downtown Disney), because they offer a fun, casual and unique way to start off our vacation.

Bus or boat transportation is available to Downtown Disney from every Walt Disney World resort.

    Hope this helps!
