    1st trip to WDW 6/13-18/09. DS 10 & DD 6. We arrive late afternoon. Staying at Grand Floridian. 7:30 ADR at Chef Mickey's. Thought the monorail would be fun. How much time should we budget to get to the Contemporary? Thanks for your help!

    Hi, Jessica,

    The Contemporary is just a quick monorail ride from Grand Floridian.  It will be your second stop.  I would plan to leave Grand Floridian at 7:00 p.m.  This will give you plenty of time to catch the monorail and check-in at Chef Mickey's 15 minutes prior to your reservation.  If you have a few extra minutes, there are great shops to browse through at the Contemporary!

    Enjoy your first Walt Disney World vacation!  Make sure to get your "First Visit" button at a guest service desk in any of the theme parks!
