Trip for 2a, 4k - 7, 4, 3 and 1. What are the value resort options for a family this size? What meal plan should we opt for? Which parks would have attractions appropriate for kids these ages (we don't plan on doing the waterparks). Thnx!

    Hi Amy!

With 6 people in your party, you can either get a Family Suite at the All Stars Resort or the new Disney's Art of Animation Resort, or you can get two connecting rooms at any Disney Value Resort.  My family prefers getting two connecting rooms, but with children that young, you might prefer a Family Suite.  If you are planning on going after May, I would definitely consider staying at the Art of Animation Resort; the concept art for it looks fabulous!

With young children, you probably won't want to spend that much time at a Table Service (full service) restaurant.  Thus I would recommend looking at the Quick Service or standard Disney Dining Plan.  However, I can't tell you if it would be a good deal for your party; it really depends on where you eat and what you would typically order.  Thus I recommend visiting the independent website AllEars.Net.  At All Ears, you can see the menu, including prices, for every Table Service and Quick Service location at Walt Disney World.  Then you can do the math and determine if a Disney Dining Plan is the right thing for you!

Young children love the Magic Kingdom.  A lot of adults do too; it's my personal favorite park by far.  However, all of the parks have attractions suitable for the entire family.  I realize that may sound strange if your only experience is with regional amusement parks, but it is true.  Most of the attractions at Walt Disney World were designed with the entire family in mind!

I hope this helps!  We are limited in the length of our answers, so please write back with more questions!
