    This trip came up unexpectedly for us and we only have a month Sept. 24- 28 before we go to Disney. I am unable to book any character dining or dinner shows for my grandson.Is there anything I can do? This whole experience is so complicated!!!!!!!!

    Hi Susan! This is the unfortunate circumstance to last minute Disney vacations. So much can be booked ahead and other guests will fill those spots. Since September is not usually a high volume time you might have some luck getting last minute stand by reservations at a character dining spot. One place that has let guests in is at Chef Mickey but you have to be there at 7am! Guests who reserve this location at this early time often just can't get the family up and moving in time to make the reservation.

    I think the best thing for you to do is to check with the resort concierge as soon as you check into the resort.  Explain what you need and ask them to please help you find a spot in a character dining restaurant. Let them know where and when you will be willing to go and remember the earlier or later is a better chance to find a spot.

    In the meantime keep calling dining,, 407-939-3463, or checking with dining on line to see if anything opens up. This is why I always encourage guests to cancel reservations they will not be using as many other guests are just waiting to try to get into places.  Good luck and keeping my fingers crossed for you!
