I have a trip on the Treasure scheduled for this year. I was on one of the first Wish cruises and the wifi (even paid) was not the best. Can I use my StarLink Mini device on the ship?

    Ahoy there, Christopher!

Welcome aboard planDisney! It sounds like you’re gearing up for an adventure on the high seas aboard the stunning Disney Treasure, and I have a feeling she’s going to live up to her name with all the magic she’s bringing! Like you, my crew and I will be setting sail on the Treasure this year, and I can’t wait to see how she compares to the Wish!

Now, I know you were hoping for a fairy tale ending to your Starlink question, but I have to play the role of Jafar just for a moment—personal Starlink modems are not allowed onboard. But don’t worry, I promise there’s a happy ending ahead!

Since the Wish first set sail, Disney has leveled up their onboard internet, shifting from megabyte-based plans to time-based ones. That means no more watching your data disappear faster than Cinderella at midnight! You now have two options:

    • “Internet” Package ($22 per day for the entire voyage) – Perfect for web browsing, social media, messaging, and even short video viewing.
    • “Internet + Streaming” Package ($35 per day for the entire voyage) – Includes everything above plus the ability to stream from services like Hulu, Netflix, or Disney+ (because what’s a cruise without a little “Bluey” or Marvel binge session?).

If you only need internet for 24 hours, you can purchase it separately, but the price is higher than the full-voyage rate. There’s also a discount for multiple devices, which is a great deal if your whole crew wants to stay connected.

We just got off the Fantasy and can confirm—the internet is much better than before! While it’s still ship-based (so expect occasional hiccups depending on your location), we were able to stream TV shows and movies with no issues. And here’s a fun bonus—on the Wish, Disney added a feature that lets you watch your stateroom TV channels on your phone through the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app! It’s a small touch, but one that makes it even easier to keep up with the latest happenings onboard.

I hope this helps as you chart your course for adventure aboard the Treasure! If you have any more questions, feel free to send them my way—I’m always happy to help a fellow explorer set sail with confidence!

Sea ya real soon with love in the air and magic everywhere,
    Dustin
