This is our 1st trip staying at POR we normally stay at a value resort. My ? is POR states that they have 6 pools, I am bringing my 2 sons ages 4 & 5 are all the pools kid friendly with slides or does just 1 pool have a slide and are they big enough?

    Hi Jennifer!

I think that you will be thrilled with your  choice - Port Orleans Riverside is our favorite moderate resort!  You are correct, this side of the resort has a whopping six pools for guest use.  You are also more than welcome to use the pool at Port Orleans French Quarter, which offers awesome theming, complete with a dragon slide!

Ol' Man Island, the main pool, is not as bright and loud as the pools that you may remember at the Value Resorts.  Rather, it looks like it popped right out of a Mark Twain novel!  The slide is quite long at 95 feet, but my boys love it.  If your little men are anything like mine, they won't think twice about taking the plunge!  Towels and life vests are available here, as well as a great pool side bar.  The five quiet pools do not have slides and are similar to pools that you might find elsewhere.  The do not offer towels, but do have a towel drop off bin.  They are three feet in the shallow end and five feet at the deepest point.  While they aren't amazing, they are quiet and cool!

For more great info on this resort, I highly suggest checking out www.PortOrleans.org - have a fabulous trip!
