Hello Eizak! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
One of the greatest features of staying in
Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort is being able to efficiently use the monorail for transportation to both Magic Kingdom and Epcot.
From Bay Lake Tower, you will walk to the main building at Disney's Contemporary Resort (the A Frame building), go through security clearance and up the escalator or elevator to the monorail. Only one stop away is the monorail depot for the Transportation and Ticket Center where you will disembark and transfer to the Epcot-direct monorail. The Epcot monorail depot lets you off at the Main Ticket Gates at Epcot.
The length of your trip will vary based on boarding the monorail at the Transportation and Ticket Center (when going) and at Epcot (when leaving). If you manage to board a monorail immediately, with the transfer the entire trip takes between 20-30 minutes, barring any unforeseen delays.
My favorite aspect of traveling on the monorail is that little ones can remain in their strollers for the trip, which removes the hassle of packing up and folding up the stroller every time you get on or off transportation. The
monorail is the most effective and efficient method of travel around Walt Disney World Resort, especially with little ones.
Happy Travels!
