1st trip with DH, DS8 & 2 in Sept. After 2 months of checking every day I was able to get a 10am ADR at CRT on our departure day. With 2 boys this breakfast is entirely for me. We will have to skip AK to go to CRT (no PH). Is it worth missing AK for CR

    Kathleen:

I'm glad you've come to the Mom's Panel "couch" today!

Instead of looking at your choice to go to the much-sought Cinderella's Royal Table in the Magic Kingdom as the alternative to "missing" Animal Kingdom, I'd view it as an opportunity to end your family's trip in the flagship park of Magic Kingdom!  Many families spend more than one day at Magic Kingdom, re-riding favorites and allowing themselves to enjoy the park on both days at a more leisurely pace.  Our family is no different.

So, let go of the mommy guilt you may be feeling over choosing to do something for yourself on this vacation which, I bet if you were honest, has PLENTY in store for the boys. (And while we're being honest here, I don't think you would have been so diligent to have pursued the reservation at CRT if, in your mind, you didn't really want to go...)

There will be another time for Animal Kingdom and, by then, your 2-year-old may be tall enough to ride Expedition Everest with the rest of the family (not that I'm trying to give you a reason not to worry about missing AK and assuage the mommy guilt)!

Wishing y'all a magical vacation...and a memorable breakfast with Cinderella!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
