Greetings and welcome to planDisney, QuiAyejia!
Oh! I absolutely understand the desire to look forward to more Walt Disney World Resort magic by becoming an
Annual Passholder. My family and I happen to have a few Walt Disney World Resort vacations planned in the year or so as well. So we have also been wondering about this very question.
Unfortunately, all sales of new Annual Passes have been suspended during the first part of
Walt Disney World Resort’s phased reopening. Sadly, that also includes upgrading valid theme park tickets to Annual Passes. There still is not an announced date for when sales of new Annual Passes will resume. However, if sales resume prior to or during your visit, you can
upgrade your theme park ticket to an Annual Pass in the
My Disney Experience mobile app or at
Guest Relations locations or ticket windows throughout the resort.
I understand that may not be the pixie-dusted answer you were hoping for at this time. I’m crossing all my fingers and toes that you will be able to have your wish granted to become a Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passholder. As the phased reopening progresses, I’m hopeful that incremental increases to capacity will allow for more Guests, including new Annual Passholders, to enjoy visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth!
Thanks for visiting us at
planDisney, QuiAyejia. As you come up with more questions during your Disney Parks vacation planning, we’d be happy to offer more assistance.
