Hello there,
Thank you for bringing your question to planDisney! With five whole days of magic ahead of you, let's dive right in to the planning.
A
theme park ticket with the Water Park and Sports option gives guests access to one theme park per day in addition to certain Walt Disney World Resort extras, specifically water parks and a variety of sports experiences. With this option, the number of admissions ticketholders receive to these extras corresponds to the length of the ticket. For example, the purchase of a 4-day theme park ticket includes four visits to the water park or eligible sports location of your choice. To make the most of this option, you might consider breaking up each theme park day and sprinkling the 'extras' throughout your vacation. If you were hoping to spend four full days in the theme parks in addition to a full day at a water park, as an alternative to the Water Park and Sports option, you might consider purchasing a 4-day theme park ticket with access to one park per day and supplement it with a
1-Day Water Park Ticket.
I noticed that you mentioned
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon as the water park of your choice. I did want to bring it to your attention that Typhoon Lagoon is currently temporarily closed. I checked in with a Cast Member who shared that there are no hours for Typhoon Lagoon on the 60 day calendar, indicating it is not currently scheduled to reopen in that timeframe. The good news is that while Typhoon Lagoon is currently unavailable,
Disney's Blizzard Beach water park is open for visitors who are looking to make a splash. If you had your heart set on Disney's Typhoon Lagoon, my planDisney pal Jason
offered some insight into the previous alternating closures of Walt Disney World's water parks. I also suggest keeping an eye on
Disney Parks Blog for updates.
A bit of bonus information: I'm so glad you plan on spending a day at each theme park. My personal favorite is
Disney's Animal Kingdom. Be sure to explore
Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail and
Maharajah Jungle Trek where you'll find yourself in close proximity to a variety of animals without waiting in long lines. Additionally, if you enjoy spicy snacks, don't miss the buffalo chicken chips from
Trilo-Bites in DinoLand U.S.A where you might also catch a glimpse of Chip and Dale in disguise as adorable (excuse me, fearsome) dinosaurs.
If you need additional clarification (there were a lot of details) or if any further questions arise, don't hesitate to
drop back by!
Cheers to 2024,
Lizzie
