Hi we have a trip planned in November and my boys were really excited to go to Ridemakerz but I see that it is closed. Can you tell me what else such as make your own is offered at Downtown Disney or the parks. They are age 9 and 12. Thanks for your help

    Hi Michelle ~

There are tons of new things going on at Disney World right now. The changes keep it fresh and fun.

There are several ways to create your own souvenEARs at Downtown Disney. You can Build-A-Dino at T-Rex. Your boys may think they are a little too old for that but they will certainly enjoy eating at T-Rex.

My boys love visiting Once Upon a Toy where Guests can build their own Droids at the Star Wars Droid Factory. They also love building their own lightsabers. It is great to see the force work through them to create their own magic. You can also do both of these at Tatooine Traders at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Your 9 year old may enjoy building his own Mr. Potato Head at Once Upon a Toy. They have a ton of accessories which allows kids to get very creative.

While at Downtown Disney, visit Disney Design-a-Tee in the Marketplace Area where they can create their own one of a kind shirts.

My boys enjoy visiting Goofy's Candy Company at Downtown Disney. They love to mix their own flavors and create their own treats (toothbrush not included).

Perhaps you could stop by the Pearl Factory at Downtown Disney. I think picking a pearl and a nice necklace to set it in is a perfect gift from a son to a Mom.

At the Magic Kingdom, there is a location in the gift shop as you exit Pirates of the Caribbean where Guests can put personalized touches on bracelets.

The newest thing my boys love to personalize is their MagicBands. Many shops carry MagicBandits, MagicSliders, and CoverBands for MagicBands.

Please feel free to visit us with all of your planning questions. It is our pleasure to assist you!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
