    My trip is planned for mid-May. I want to dine at Whispering Canyon and there is no availablity. Do I HAVE to have a reservation? WHat about all the people who make reservations and do not show up...is it likely to get a reservation on the same day?

    I know I have a hard time planning out my meals months in advance, I'm lucky if I know what I'm having for dinner tonight!

    I typically call just prior to leaving for vacation, and even once we're there if I haven't secured a reservation.  I have had fairly good luck securing last-minute reservations, so I wouldn't give up yet if this is really where you want to eat.  You can call the dining line from any of the in-house phones, or stop by guest relations at any of the theme parks and they can check availability for you.  At this point though, be flexible on the dining time and if something opens, I'd take it!

    Walk-ups are another option and personally I have had success with this, but I would be sure to have a backup plan in the event that there is nothing available.
