Hi there, Amy!
You're just one month away from your visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth! I always find that the transition from measuring my countdown in weeks instead of months is an especially exciting time, so I'm delighted that you stopped by planDisney for advice as you finalize your plans. In the spirit of Lightning Lanes, let's not wait any longer, Amy. It's time to talk park hopping!
As long as your theme park ticket has the Park Hopper Option, purchasing
Lightning Lane Premier Pass for your second theme park of the day is a great idea! This will allow you to take advantage of shorter wait times in the morning at your first park before heading over to Hollywood Studios to bypass the standby queues that have most likely increased throughout the day.
While there's no guarantee that a theme park won't reach capacity on any given day, in my experience, this typically only happens on holidays such as July 4th, Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve. I actually just spent President's Day weekend at Walt Disney World, and despite the influx of holiday Guests, I had no problem hopping between theme parks each day. With this in mind, you shouldn't encounter any issues entering Disney's Hollywood Studios midday in March. If for some reason Hollywood Studios is limiting entrance on the day of your visit, I would encourage you to speak to a Cast Member and present verification of your Premier Pass. Although it's not guaranteed, in some instances existing reservations and purchases are given priority for admission when theme parks reach capacity.
Before you go, I wanted to share a tip about my very favorite attraction,
Slinky Dog Dash. Since Premier Pass will allow you to enjoy the attraction at your leisure and without a specific return time, if possible, I suggest saving Slinky Dog Dash for last. I just love zipping through Andy's backyard after dark under the glow of holiday lights with the
Hollywood Tower Hotel shining in the distance.
I hope this helps you plan, Amy, and that your vacation is filled with magical moments. If you need any further assistance or advice as you finalize your plans, feel free to
stop back by planDisney. I'm always happy to help!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
