Have trip planned for June have the dining plan. Any recommendations as to how many reservations we should schedule ahead of time? From what I heard you don't want to overschedule and take the fun out of it.. 2 adults and 4 1/2 yr old boy attending.

    Hello fellow Nebraskan!

We, too, will be visiting over the summer, and we have already made our reservations. With the summer crowds, many of the restaurants will fill up quickly, so I'd suggest doing the same thing so you have a large selection of choices. Since you have the dining plan, I'd opt to get the best bang for your buck and look for dinner reservations for your table service credits.

We made our decisions by first looking at the park hours (I've linked you to the MK hours to help you get started) and deciding what park we'd spend the evening at (we typically avoid evening EMH since they are often very crowded). You can also explore the restaurants through the website. If you click here, you'll see information on the MK with Dining on the left side; clicking on the Dining button will bring up all the restaurants in the park where you can even make reservations online. This can be done with all the parks and resorts.  Additionally, detailed menus can be found at www.allearsnet.com.

My sons have some favorite restaurants that they'd like to suggest:  Sci-Fi Drive In, Chef Mickey's, Coral Reef, & T-Rex.  I'm limited on space, but if you'd like more dining suggestions, please don't hesitate to ask another question to the panel or to me directly.
