Hi! We have a trip planned for January. So far we only have the hotel booked in hopes of them releasing ticket deals. Is there anyway to pay my balance in full online for the hotel or do I need to have tickets booked as well?

Hey Howdy Hey Ansleigh and welcome to planDisney!

You have picked a great way to start your year with a vacation to the Most Magical Place on Earth! 2025 will be a year full of excitement around the parks and I'll bet you have your hands full planning all of the fun. Thank you for stopping by with your question about paying for your reservation. I will be happy to give you more details.

When it comes to room-only reservations, you are required to put a down payment equal to the first night's stay plus tax to hold your reservation. The rest of the amount is due upon check-in. Unfortunately, Disney will not allow you to pay in full for your reservation outside of your arrival date.

I'm sure you are, but keep up with the Special Offers page and any big announcements on discounts on the Disney Parks Blog. If you do see a ticket offer that does come up, make sure to act fast! These offers may be ticket-only purchases or further discounts when booking a vacation package. You can easily convert your room-only reservation to a vacation package online through your My Disney Experience account or by calling Disney

With that being said, if you were to change your reservation to a vacation package, this payment process would be different. Vacation packages consist of your resort stay at a Disney Resorts hotel and theme park tickets. With this option, the full amount of your vacation is due 30 days before your date of arrival and you can pay the full amount off anytime before that if you would like. Make sure to check out the terms and conditions for the details on cancelations or changing your reservations.

My fingers will be crossed that a deal is announced soon for the first part of 2025 on theme park tickets. In the meantime, have fun planning your vacation and feel free to stop back with any other questions you may have!

    To Infinity and Beyond,
