Hello! I have my trip planned for Jan 7-15! I have MK reservation for Jan 9th and I just learned there is a MK After Hours event. Will I have to leave the park early due to that event? Will I miss the fireworks? Should I pick a different MK day :(

    Hi Sara!

January is a fantastic time to visit the "Most Magical Place on Earth" because you'll be able to enjoy the theme parks, Disney Resort hotels, and Disney Springs after many families have returned home from their holiday vacations. Plus, the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts will be starting during your visit, which means you can celebrate the sights, sounds, and tastes of a variety of mediums of art as you travel throughout the park!

Disney After Hours is a special event where Guests can enjoy the theme park after it closes for the evening. On days when Magic Kingdom hosts Disney After Hours, the theme park will still be open for its full standard hours, and weather permitting, Guests can enjoy Disney Enchantment before the theme park closes. Park Hours are always subject to change, but the current Park Hours for January 9 show that Magic Kingdom will be open until 10:00 p.m. and Disney Enchantment will be at 8:15 p.m. So it sounds like you're planning a great itinerary and January 9 is a great day to visit Magic Kingdom and experience all of its magic!

Sara, as you continue planning your vacation, be sure to follow the Disney Parks Blog. It's a great way to get the latest news and announcements about everything you can enjoy during your visit. Plus, you're always welcome to come back to see us if we can provide additional assistance! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
