    We have a trip planned for Jan 7-14 2009. I didn't relize until after the fact that the marathon is scheduled that weekend. How are the lines at WDW during this time?

    Hi Sheila.    One of the benefits of my living in Florida is I have the ability to take day trips often over to Disney.   I particularly like to visit during slower times of the year and from my experience, this happens to be one of those times. 

     

    January is generally one of the slowest months of the year.   You are arriving after the Christmas/New Years crowd and before the Martin Luther King weekend.   Despite the marathon taking place, you should find that crowds and lines will be very reasonable.   Enjoy your trip!
