We have a trip planned with our grandchildren in October. We are just reading some comments that say there is a 180lb weight restriction on most rides now. Can you verify these comments? Thanks.

    Hiya Barb!

Welcome to planDisney! You've come to the perfect place for all things Disneyland, and I'm so excited to have you here. With so much information out there, it can get overwhelming, but fear not! You’ve come to the right place for the official scoop. The best sources are always the Disneyland Resort website and the official Disney Parks Blog.

Barb, I just had to reach out because I can see how focused you are on making sure that you and your cast of characters have a blast at the resort. I actually helped out someone with a similar question earlier this year – a lady who wanted to make sure her Prince Charming had the time of his life on all the rides he’d been dreaming of.

Now, let me assure you, Barb, all attractions at Disneyland Resort can accommodate guests up to 600 lbs, except for the Silly Symphony Swings. So, no need to worry about any 180 lb weight restriction – that's just a pesky rumor!

And Barb, as someone who lives just around the riverbend from the resort, let me tell you that your visit falls in a fantastic season. You’ll have plenty of sunshine headed your way, but there's also that crisp autumn air adding a touch of spookiness. Halloween time at the theme parks is such a treat! You'll adore the Haunted Mansion Holiday, wonderful photo ops with the Mickey pumpkin and many characters dressed in their Halloween costumes, and one the most thrilling nighttime spectaculars: Halloween Screams.

So Barb, if you’re ever unsure of something, don’t fret. Just remember to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog or the official website for the Disneyland Resort. Or visit another panelist – we're all experts in various aspects of the parks. And hey, now you've got a friend in me! So feel free to drop me a direct message anytime. I’d love to share more of my favorite tips or suggestions for your trip to the Disneyland Resort.

    See ya real soon!
