Hey-howdy-hey, Charles! Thanks for moseying on by planDisney with your question. Let's get you ready to go roughing it in style at the Walt Disney World Resort!
My family has stayed at
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground several times, and I think I love it more with each visit! Although I must admit, we're more
cabin than campsite types, but either way, you still get a sense of old Florida when you're a Guest of this amazing, serene place.
And "the Fort" is huge, so having a way to explore all it has to offer is clutch. We always take advantage of
Disney's golf cart rentals when we stay there, but you can certainly bring your own golf cart if you like. There are restrictions to the types of vehicles you can operate on property, so do take note of that. I found a whole
guide to Fort Wilderness vehicle rules and regulations on the Disney website that I think you'll find helpful. But once you've perused the rules, you're free to roam the wilderness!
Charles, as Disney continues its
phased reopening of the Theme Parks and Resorts, you may find some amenities are on pause for now. To help you plan, here's a look at what's
currently available at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. There's plenty still going on, but I'd check back periodically as your arrival date approaches to see if anything new has been added.
Welp, looks like it's time for me to skedaddle on outta here for now, Charles. I hope you have a rootin'-tootin' time at the Fort, and please come see us again if you have any more questions!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
