Hi, Rachel! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!
As the mom of a child with special needs, I always appreciate the way that
Walt Disney World Resort goes above and beyond to make the magic accessible to everyone. There are accommodations that can be made for Guests who have medical conditions or disabilities. One of these accommodations,
Disability Access Service (DAS), is intended for Guests who, due to a disability, cannot wait in a traditional queue environment.
Once you have some guidance from your doctor, you might also want to
reach out to a Disability Services Cast Member to discuss your specific needs and to see what type of accommodations might be most appropriate. Also, there are plenty of experiences at Walt Disney World Resort that do not require waiting in a queue or riding rides. If you take a look at the
Attractions and Entertainment list, you can filter it to find shows, fireworks, parades, and character experiences that can be enjoyed by the whole family. I would also suggest booking some
dining reservations to enjoy a delicious meal with your loved ones.
