We have a trip planned for early Feb and are booking our dining! We've done Be Our Guest post-Covid and experienced it with the Beast wandering the dining area; that said, I heard he was doing meet and greets this summer. Any chance he still is?

Hello, Amber! It is with deepest pride and greatest pleasure that I welcome you to planDisney!

You’re so close to your Walt Disney World vacation! Way to go on making those dining reservations! My family has enjoyed Be Our Guest on many visits to the Magic Kingdom and it sounds like you have as well. So I don’t need to tell you to try the grey stuff (it’s delicious!).

Along with the amazing decor and food, an appearance by the Beast is one of the best parts of visiting Be Our Guest. I also heard that he was meeting and greeting castle guests this summer, but I confirmed with a helpful Cast Member that the allusive Beast has since retreated to other parts of the castle. Luckily, he is still known to make appearances, dramatically storming from room to room and posing for quick pictures tableside. I found this helpful overview from my co-panelist Jonathan explaining the current restaurant experience.

If you’re searching for a specific character meet and greet then be sure to check out the list of character experiences on the Walt Disney World website. You can also see character experiences on the My Disney Experience app map by selecting “characters” from the drop-down menu at the top.

Amber, I hope you have the most magical time on your upcoming Walt Disney World visit, and don’t hesitate to come back with any other questions you may have. You’ll always be our guest at planDisney!
