I have trip planned to Disneyland in 3 weeks. I keep receiving notifications about Pixar fest. What exactly is Pixar fest?

    Hey Howdy Hey Anne!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You picked a wonderful time to visit the Happiest Place on Earth, because from now until September 3, 2018 you can experience Pixar Fest. This limited time event is a celebration of not only your favorite Pixar stories and pals but of the friendships featured in these films. Pixar Fest is taking place in Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, and even throughout the Downtown Disney District.

In Disneyland Park the fun-filled Pixar Play Parade returns now featuring floats inspired by the movies Inside Out and Up. In the evening prepare for an adventure to infinity and beyond with the brand new fireworks show Together Forever - A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular. Not only will pyrotechnics fill the sky, but keep your eyes on Sleeping Beauty Castle for some amazing projections and other flying surprises. My absolute favorite piece of entertainment during this festival is the return of the magnificent Paint the Night Parade in Disney California Adventure Park. My son loves the music and stares in awe at the impressive floats, light-up costumes, and favorite Characters.

Throughout Disneyland Resort's dining locations, look for special eats and treats that are here only during Pixar Fest. I can't wait to try the adorable Alien Macaron at Alien Pizza Planet or the Carrot Cake Churro in Disneyland Park. Over in Disney California Adventure Park there is a monster-sized Mike Wazowski Doughnut at Schmoozies and a brand new spicy corn dog at Corn Dog Castle that are also on my must-eat list. I could probably spend an entire week indulging at the parks and still not try all the delicious new festival food items! Don't forget to also look around at the special festival decor and merchandise spread throughout the entire Resort.

I hope this helps, and remember You've Got a Friend in Me!
