Hi there Raul,
So many exciting events are coming up for you and your family next month. Walt Disney World is the perfect place is make these occasions extra special.
My first recommendation is to choose a special dining location for Magic Kingdom Park and Disney's Animal Kingdom. I always start every trip by planning what table service location we want to dine at in advance. This allows me to plan the rest of my day around pre-scheduled meal times. At Magic Kingdom, join the Beast for dinner at
Be Our Guest restaurant in Fantasyland. Your granddaughter will love being able to dine like a character in Beauty and the Beast. It also happens to be one of the most romantic dining locations at Magic Kingdom! You and your wife will enjoy delicious French-style cuisine (the French Onion soup is heavenly) in the setting of one of Disney’s most magical love stories. It will be a place that pleases everyone. I would also recommend pre-ordering a
Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake to celebrate your granddaughter. The cake will be great for celebrating turning seven years old!! Great news, you can have a celebration cake at other participating dining locations not just Be Our Guest. I suggest ending your night at Magic Kingdom Park by watching Disney’s Enchantment. Some of my favorite anniversary memories are cuddling up to the ones I love and watching fireworks light up the sky.
My favorite place to dine at Animal Kingdom is
Yak and Yeti. I wouldn’t particularly describe it as romantic, but I really enjoy the food. Located at Expedition Everest base camp, the delicious pan-Asian cuisine is served in large portions. Their Lo Mein noodles are something I dream about every time I plan my trip. Now, if you have a park hopper option added to your tickets, this day is the perfect day to head to EPCOT in the evening; Animal Kingdom typically closes earlier than the other theme parks, so after a brief break at your resort hotel you can head over to the World Showcase to enjoy one of their great dining locations. My family and I love dining at
San Angel Inn Restaurante, located inside the Mexico pavilion. The starry night and the view of the riverboats at the base of the Mayan ruins are stunning. It is also an excellent place for a margarita, some chips and salsa, and a respite from the Florida heat. If you time your meal right, you can head out to watch Disney’s Harmonious nighttime spectacular. It is visually stunning and such a beautiful way to end your night.
Once you have food squared away, maximizing your day is all about prioritizing your family’s interest. You will never have a better friend than Genie for this. Disney’s new
Genie service enables you to input your family must-dos for the parks and generate a list of recommendations for attractions, entertainment, and even snacks. Genie will even help monitor wait times during the day and help you fit in as much excitement as you wish in one day. It is a fun new free planning tool.
I hope this is helpful, Raul, and gives you a good place to start. If I can leave you with one final recommendation, it is this. Set aside some time just to sit and take in the magical experience with your loved ones. The whole day will go by so fast, and just taking a second to be together sharing a DOLE Whip or Mickey Pretzel will be a cherished moment for you all.
Let me know if there is anything else I can do to help.
Happy Planning!
