Hi Mark,
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question! How fun that you’re sharing the magic with another couple. Some of my favorite Disney memories have been made on trips with friends! It’s always a great time experiencing the magic of the parks together, grabbing matching Mickey bars, and making all those core memories!
When it comes to picking up your friends from their resort, there are a couple of things to keep in mind. Since you're staying at different Disney Resorts Collection hotels,
parking security might ask for a reason for your visit when you drive up. Just let them know you're picking up Guests who are staying there. As long as you’re not planning to leave your car there for an extended time or park without your friends being present, Cast Members are usually super helpful and understanding. I always recommend having their name and reservation number handy, just in case they need to verify.
Another smooth option? Use the "I'm here to pick up a Guest" approach and ask to do a quick loop through the front entrance or drop-off zone. That way, you're not worrying about finding a spot or taking up parking for folks with room reservations.
And here's a little pixie-dusted bonus tip: if you’re planning to hang out together at one of the resorts (
maybe for dinner or a resort stroll), your friends can also take
complimentary Disney transportation to your hotel. Buses, boats, or the monorail, depending on where you're staying. It’s all part of the fun and can turn a simple meet-up into an extra magical mini-adventure!
Wishing your whole crew a trip full of unforgettable moments, easy meet-ups, and lots of laughter along the way.
See ya real soon,
Emille
