We had a trip planned and had to cancel because of Covid. We looked and there is hotels available, however all the Park Reservations are taken. Do you still need reservations to get into the parks?

Hi there, Carol! Welcome to planDisney!

I'm so glad you're thinking about rescheduling your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. So many plans had to be put on hold in the past year, and I know lots of us are really looking forward to experiencing a little bit of magic.

Right now, the Walt Disney World Resort continues to operate under phased reopening procedures, so Disney Park Pass reservations are still required along with your valid theme park admission. But I encourage you to take another look at the Availability Calendar, Carol, because a few reservations have opened up for the week were planning to visit! Only EPCOT is available on your arrival day, but as you click through subsequent days, you'll see that the only park that doesn't have at least one day of availability that week is the Magic Kingdom. But don't worry, you don't have to miss the most magical theme park of all! If you have the Park Hopper Option on your tickets, you can still visit the Magic Kingdom when park hopping hours open after 2 p.m., so go ahead and make your reservations and start planning!

Carol, I hope this gives you some ideas for an itinerary that works for your family. If you have any other questions while you're making your plans, please don't hesitate to stop by and see us again. We're always here to help!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
