Hi Traci,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question!
Yes, the Walt Disney World Resort has a service called the
Disability Access Service (DAS) which helps those who might have difficulty tolerating longer wait times. To start your way through this process, you’ll want to pre-register between 30 to two days in advance of your Theme Park visit.
When it’s time to
pre-register, you’ll first want to make sure your “Friends and Family List” is up to date with your entire party in the
My Disney Experience mobile app (inclusive of the guest in need of the service). You’ll also want to make sure everyone has valid Theme Park admission as well as
Disney Park Pass reservations. Next, you’ll schedule your
“Pre-Arrival Live Video Chat” with a Cast Member from 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time. If you aren’t able to do a video chat, Hakuna Matata, just register on-site at Guest Relations. After you’re registered, next you’ll move into the
DAS Advance Planning stage where you’ll select your rides.
Since you’ve got some time before your trip, you’ll want to set a reminder a few weeks before your departure to 1)
double check the steps and 2) start the reservation process!
I hope this “Bit By Bryanna” is helpful as you prepare for your vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort! If any other planning or vacation questions,
please feel free to reach out, I’m always happy to help!
The Magic Is Calling,
Bryanna
