I have a trip planned for April of 2018. I just found out I am pregnant. The baby will be about 4-5 months when we get there for the trip. What can we do there with the baby besides shows? I have a 6 year old who loves the rides, does the baby go on?

    Hi Christie,

First of all, congratulations on the new addition to your family! And you've already planned your first family vacation for your newest member.

My older daughter was almost 6 when her sister was born and we were already Walt Disney World annual passholders, so we started the baby off early on her Disney journey. She was only 2 1/2 months old on her first visit. You'll find that the baby will be able to accompany you on many rides and attractions. As long as there is no height requirement, the ride is safe for guests of all ages.

You'll find a list of appropriate rides within the guide for visiting with little ones and preschoolers linked here. And if there is a ride that isn't right for the baby, you can take advantage of Rider Switch so that both adults can enjoy the ride.

There were times when my daughter was an infant that I would take a break with her to sit in the shade, feed her and let her rest in her stroller while my husband and older daughter did something more adventurous. You will certainly want to know about the Baby Care Centers, which offer an excellent place for relaxing and tending to your baby's needs.

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Christie. I hope this helps you get a head start on planning your vacation with the newest member of your family. Please check back with us if we can help in other ways. We're always happy to share our experiences to make other guests' vacations even more magical.

    Enjoy,
