1st trip (perhaps only- end of Jan.) - kids 8 and 12. Staying at Coronado (I think), but debating last day at a luxury resort. Does that make sense? Suggestions? Would Disney take care of transporting luggage between resorts for us?

Hi, Kari! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Your idea makes perfect sense to me. If I had enough in my budget to stay at a deluxe resort for one night - I would do the same thing!  I love every Walt Disney World Resort hotel I have stayed in at each resort level - value, moderate, and deluxe. Every hotel is beautifully themed with great pools and wonderful Cast Members. However, there is a reason these hotels are deluxe! Staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Deluxe Hotel is quite a luxurious treat.

I highly recommend staying at one of the Monorail Loop resorts - which include Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney's Contemporary Resort. These are the closest hotels to my favorite Theme Park, Magic Kingdom Park. You can even walk to Magic Kingdom Park from Disney's Contemporary Resort. All three of these deluxe hotels offer views of Cinderella castle. You can even watch Wishes nighttime spectacular and Electrical Water Pageant right from the beach of your hotel!

Transporting your luggage between resorts is a breeze. In the morning of the transfer, before you leave for the day's adventures, bring all items to Bell Services you need to transfer to your new hotel. Your items will arrive at your new resort in the mid-afternoon hours. When you arrive at your new resort, simply visit Bell Services to retrieve your items.

Wishing you and your family a magical vacation!

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a “boy mom” to two rowdy little men at home and married to my high school sweetheart. I am fortunate enough that my prince charming loves all things Disney just as much as I do! For me, planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be just as magical as being there. It brings our family together as we dream, plan, and count down the days. I would be honored to help plan your visit and share in your family’s very own magic! Learn More About Rachel
