Hi Emilia, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It fills my heart with pixie dust to hear that you love the panel! We love you right back! Helping Guests plan magical time with their loved ones matters so much to each of us, and we’re so grateful you’ve chosen to come back to us with another great question.
Emilia, in most cases you are welcome to share a meal on the
Disney Dining Plan, as long as you are not dining at a buffet, signature restaurant, or show. Be aware that when sharing a meal and using only one dining plan entitlement, you will also be sharing a beverage and a dessert (that’s my non-sharing downfall). Of course, you can choose to pay out-of-pocket for a second drink if you’d like, and tap water is of course complimentary (and hydration at Walt Disney World is a must).
You will want to be sure to notify your server of your plans so you're charged accordingly. Sometimes certain dining establishments are less flexible than others for a number of reasons, so I always recommend talking to your server about any substitutions or flexibility you’re hoping for. If you want to ask if you’ll be able to share a meal at a particular Table-Service location, please call (407) WDW-DINE and inquire. Also, please note that policies are always subject to change.
I hope you and your family have the BEST time on your SEVENTH Walt Disney World vacation! Keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for all the latest news about the parks and resorts. I also recommend doing as my buddy and fellow Panelist Kristen N. does and keeping a running list of all the snacks, drinks, and meals you want to try on your vacation. I make her share hers with me every time I visit our happy place!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
