Greetings, Airyanna, and welcome to planDisney! I’m so excited that you are planning a return to the Happiest Place on Earth. While the magic has grown with innovative updates and new experiences over the past twenty years, there are plenty of familiar (and beloved) sights, sounds, and attractions waiting to welcome you back.
Airyanna, let's first answer your question, and then I'll share some tips for your visit.
Halloween Time starts August 24, 2025, and ends on Halloween night. In fact, the Resort begins its transformation overnight, and I wouldn't expect to see much of the Halloween decorations come November 1. You may even start to see sprinkles of the holiday season begin to appear. You are right that the
Holidays at the Disneyland Resort will begin November 14, 2025, but you may notice snow on Sleeping Beauty Castle, garland, wreaths, and more during your visit.
That said, you may see a few pumpkins over at
Haunted Mansion Holiday, which transforms for Halloween Time and typically remains until the holiday season ends. This is one of my favorite attraction overlays, and it's a perfect way to experience a little bit of Halloween magic during your visit.
Now, let's talk about some of the things you might want to add to your list, since it's been a while since you've been to the Disneyland Resort.
- New Lands: Head to Galaxy's Edge for total immersion into the Star Wars universe. Avengers Campus and Cars Land in California Adventure are two more areas you should plan to explore. Consider purchasing a Lightning Lane Single Pass for Rise of the Resistance as well as Radiator Springs Racers, two cutting-edge and popular attractions.
- Reimagined Attractions: "it's a small world" was updated back in 2009 to include familiar faces throughout the ride, with two more additions earlier this year. Tiana's Bayou Adventure is another update you won't want to miss – just pack or purchase a poncho if you don't want to get wet!
- Entertainment: There are amazing shows, including World of Color, Paint the Night, fireworks with projections, and more. You can even look into getting a dining package, which pairs a meal with reserved viewing for a specific show.
- Mobile App: Download the Disneyland Resort mobile app. You can link your theme park tickets for easy access. I also use it to mobile order food in advance, because who wants to wait in line when it's time to eat? You can make and manage dining reservations in the app, too.
- Lightning Lane Multi Pass: This pass grants access to the Lightning Lane entrances at a number of attractions. These entrances lead to shorter lines, helping you fit more magic into your day. You can book selections one at a time through the mobile app.
Airyanna, I hope this information sprinkles a little pixie dust onto your plans! I hope you have a fantastic visit in November. If you have any other questions, please stop by again. We're always happy to help at planDisney!
See you soon,
Kriss
