Camila from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I am going on a trip that is not self funded, and I have a budget of 15 dollars for each meal. I have park hopper passes so I could get food from either park, but I'm not sure what I could get.

    Hi Camila,

    Welcome to planDisney!

How exciting! It sounds like you are headed to the Walt Disney World® Resort and someone else is covering expenses. Since my family is always on a budget, we estimate the cost of our meals prior to every trip. To do so, we identify the restaurants we want to visit each day and then we check the menus to see food options and prices.

To find dining locations, review the restaurant list and sort by location. when you pull up the list, you should see tabs across the top of the page that indicate reservations accepted, table service, quick service, character dining, fine/signature dining, as well as a tab for all filters. Just above those tabs, you should see a drop down menu for All Walt Disney World Locations. If you click on that drop down arrow, you should be able to select by location. Once you find a restaurant, go to the home page, and then click on View Menu. Be sure to then select the meal period.

Given your budget, you will probably need to eat at quick service locations but you can filter by price. Check this dining location list to see the restaurants that have prices at $14.99 or under. In Disney's Hollywood Studios, we like ABC Commissary. Take a look at the lunch and dinner menu. In Magic Kingdom, check out the lunch and dinner menu at Casey's Corner. Just keep checking locations, viewing menus, and looking at prices. I will add that we also always bring our own snacks, granola bars are a favorite. So, if you are flying and can pack some snacks in a checked bag, I advise you to do so!

Camila, I hope this helps! Once you review those menus, you should be good to go. Remember also that if you are staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you could also dine at the resort hotel. So check out the options there as well. Disney's All-Star Movies Resort, for example, has World Premier Food Court. You can check out the breakfast menu as you plan. I am sending an extra sprinkle of pixie dust trusting that you will be able to plan your meals to fit within your budget and, most of all, that you have a magical visit!

    Magic and memories,
    Donyell
