Our trip is next week, it will be the first Disney experience for our 4 year old! We are beyond excited! My wife's birthday is on Valentine's Day, the day we check in. Does Disney offer anything exciting for Birthdays?

    Hi Robert:

Disney World is a wonderful place to spend a birthday AND Valentines Day. A few years ago, Disney offered free Park admission on your birthday. That promotion expired, and this year's promotion is "Let the Memories Begin."

There are still many ways to celebrate a birthday at Disney World. For example:
    • Your best bet is to contact the Dream Makers at Disney Floral and Gifts at (407) WDW-GIFT or (407) 939-4438. If you are staying on property, they can help create a personalized in-room celebration. They can also deliver personalized gift baskets to your Disney resort or a Disney restaurant where you may be enjoying a celebratory meal.
    • Arrange a special dinner, maybe at California Grill, Jiko, or Le Cellier. Let the reservationist know, and remind the host when you check in, that it's a birthday meal.
    • Remember to check in at City Hall at the Magic Kingdom, or at guest relations at other parks, and pick up a birthday button for your wife and first-visit button for your child. Many Cast Members will go out of their way to greet your wife and child with a kind gesture to make the day more memorable.
    • When you check in to your resort, let the Cast Members know at check-in that it's your wife's birthday and child's first visit. It's possible the front desk may be able to help arrange some Disney magic for your wife or child.

    Enjoy this special vacation.
