Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Melissa! I'm so glad that I can help you today just a few days before you visit
Magic Kingdom Park. There is so much to cover, so let's dive right in and chat about how to make the most out of your magical day!
I want to start by encouraging you to consider
Disability Access Service for your children. It should make wait times much more bearable for them because they won't have to wait in the conventional standby line if that would better meet their needs. At the beginning of your day, visit the
Guest Relations desk at City Hall on Main Street U.S.A. and talk to a Cast Member about the needs of your children and they'll discuss Disability Access Service with you. If you determine that you think it's something that would work well for your family then your children will have their pictures taken and their
tickets or MagicBands scanned. From there, you can approach the podium at the attractions you're interested in and they can give you a return time to come back through the FastPass+ entrance so that the time you'd spend waiting in line can be spent doing other things that better suit you and your family. If you need any more information or would like to discuss your specific needs, please contact Disability Services at (407) 560-2547 or email disability.services@disneyparks.com.
As for making the most out of your day at Magic Kingdom Park, I do have a few suggestions! First, you must download the
My Disney Experience app and link your tickets to your account so you can make
FastPass+ selections. FastPass+ enables you to bypass the standby line for participating attractions, and each person in your party can make up to three selections in advance. Some of the most popular attractions are
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train,
Space Mountain, and
Peter Pan's Flight, so those are great options to look for. You should also make time for some of my favorite things that usually don't have a very long wait time like
Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover,
Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room, and
Country Bear Jamboree! Finally, arriving early is the best way to start your day off on the right foot. If you arrive 30 to 45 minutes before the Theme Park opens for the day, that puts you in a great spot to be one of the first people inside so you can ride some big attractions before most guests even arrive for the day.
I hope this answers your questions, Melissa, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical day!
