For our trip all of our meals have been booked for a party of 9. However, within that party of 9 are two separate reservations (2 families - both on the meal plan). Will the servers add the 18% gratuity, or can the checks be split for each family? Thanks!

    Hi, Kerri!

Regardless of how the check is split, and 18% gratuity is added for parties of 6 or more guests when dining in Walt Disney World. If you feel your service was anything but exceptional, please ask for the manager.

The servers at Walt Disney World are accustomed to multiple families traveling together, so it is no problem to split a check. Just let your server know how the check should be divided and also that you are on the Disney Dining Plan.

Dining Reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance. Guests can book online or call (407)WDW-DINE. A credit card hold is required to secure a dining reservation.

Wishing you and your awesome party of 9 a magical visit to Walt Disney World!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
