1st trip May 2010, 2 girls 5 and 2. Where should I be looking for info. on the best parades, firework displays and other special events. I don't want to go down there without a plan. Thanks for any help.

    Hi Alisha,

The first trip is always special!  Be sure to stop by a Guest Relations location and pick up "1st Visit" buttons for each of you. There is a lot to see and do and planning ahead can save you lots of time once you reach the parks.  For a description of the entertainment at WDW, including the parades,  fireworks and other special events, click here.

You can check the parade and fireworks schedules on-line for each of the theme parks by clicking on the following links for each park:

    Magic Kingdom
    Epcot
    Disney Hollywood Studios
    Animal Kingdom

That will take you to the current month's calendar which will list the hours of operation each day including Extra Magic Hours.  You can change the month by clicking on the drop down list beside the View Month box.  From there, click on a specific date to see the parade and fireworks schedule.

Times are always subject to change so be sure to pick up a Times Guide in addition to your Park Guide when you enter each park.

Keep in mind that people line up early for parades and fireworks so be sure to pick out a spot early and be prepared to wait.  Please let us know if you have any further questions. We're honored to help you plan your trip of lifetime.

Wishing you many magical memories :-)
