    1st trip in May for 14 days. Purchased Deluxe Disney Dining Plan for 2 week period, but only Disney Park tickets for 7 days. Where can I use dining plan if not entering parks? Was this a bad move as we will be eating elsewhere on our days out?

    You will still be able to use the Disney Dining Plan outside of the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios.

    All of the resort hotels offer counter-service and/or table service restaurants for you to enjoy. It’s also fun to explore the resorts before or after your meal. To get your money’s worth from the deluxe plan, visit as many table service restaurants as you can.

    There are many wonderful dining places throughout the resorts. I will indicate with a (2) the restaurants that require 2 table service credits per person. Consider the following:
    Boma or Jiko (2) at the Animal Kingdom Lodge
    Spoodles or the Flying Fish Café (2) at the Boardwalk
    California Grill (2) or Chef Mickey’s at the Contemporary
    Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue (2)  or Mickey’s Backyard BBQ (2) at Fort Wilderness
    1900 Park Fare, Citricos (2), Narcoossee’s (2) at the Grand Floridian
    Kona Café, ‘Ohana, Spirit of Aloha dinner show (2) at the Polynesian
    Whispering Canyon Café and Artist Point (2) at the Wilderness Lodge
    Cape May Café at the Beach Club
    Yachtsman Steakhouse (2) at the Yacht Club

    If you are visiting the water parks, you can use counter service meals. Finally when exploring Downtown Disney, many restaurants there also participate in the dining plan.

    Don’t forget that depending on where you are staying (Animal Kingdom Lodge, Contemporary, Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Wilderness Lodge and Yacht and Beach Club), that Private In Room Dining is also included in the your plan and will be charged 2 table service credits. I just love room service.
