1st trip in March w/ 3 girls (ages 2,4 &6). Staying @ BLT 7 nights, then last night @ CBR. Booked pirate room, which the girls are excited about, now thinking should I switch to preferred to be closer to MK bus, pool, etc? Are pirate rooms farthest?

    Hi Valerie!

It sounds like you have a great vacation planned! We spent part of our stay this past September in a pirate room and the kids really enjoyed it.

All of the pirate rooms are located in Trinidad South, which is the farthest island from Old Port Royale where the main pool and food court are located. However, I wouldn't let this stand in your way if your girls are excited to stay in one of the pirate rooms. While it is a bit of a walk, it is manageable at around ten minutes. If you don't want to walk, you can take advantage of the internal shuttle which makes the rounds around the resort and will take you from Trinidad South to Old Port Royale.

Each island has its own bus stop so no matter where you stay within the resort, you won't have a far walk to wait for a bus.

Since you'll only be staying at Caribbean Beach for one night, I would say to keep your reservation for the pirate room since your girls are looking forward to it. Getting around the resort and getting to the parks is quite easy and efficient.

I hope this helps! Have a great vacation!
