Hi there, Shauna, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I'm so glad you stopped by today to ask us your question. Part of the fun of a Walt Disney World vacation is the food, and I don't want you to think you'll have to miss out on any of it. There are just a few dining experiences that you'd have to pay for ahead of time, like Cinderella's Royal Table and the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. Otherwise, the vast majority of Walt Disney World restaurants only require a credit card to hold your reservation. That card will only be charged if you don't show up for your reservation, or if you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice. Then, it works just like any other restaurant you might enjoy at home. You'll order your meal, eat to your heart's (or your stomach's) content, and pay the check at the end.
It looks like you're coming up on your 180-day window, so go ahead and have fun making plans for all the wonderful dining you want to enjoy, Shauna. And be sure to save some room for dessert!
Please feel free to stop by and see us again if you have any more questions. Wishing you a magical Walt Disney World vacation!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
